 Poster: A snowHead
|
This is over the linguistic border in our canton so they speak German over there, or so they claim but they've even made their own numbers up in practice.
Anyway, it's very, very cold, it was -20 when I got there at 9am and was still -17 at middday in the car park when I left. It's not the "dry cold" the ski bore in the Dog and Duck in Milton Keynes keeps telling everyone either, it's just cold.
Snow's excellent though, some great powder skiing still around.
Some photos here.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

snowskisnow, actually it was quite busy by local standards, there was even a queue on the (only) chairlift, it's still sports week in some areas so there's loads of kids around.

Actually there probably is barbed wire between the posts but it will be lying on the ground under the snow, that's certainly standard practice arround Wengen away from the main pistes anyway

snowskisnow, yes, the wire is moved normally, I think a UK farmer would do the same thing if they'd a financial interest in it as well.

Although, by some corollary of Murphys law, there was some barbed wire just near the piste today in Leysin
