Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi all, just asking in advance if anyone has been “The Hill” at Rossendale (UK) recently for the snowboard sessions, and if they would recommend it?

Taking my 12 year old daughter tomorrow for a ‘taster’ session. Probably start booking lessons going forward. Hopefully book a hol next Feb so time to start learning.

Welcome to Snowheads, @haps1, snowHead Is that for snowboarding? If so, I hope your daughter is determined and resilient.

I think I was one of the first to ride snowboards at Rossendale. I'm both determined and resilient, although I didn't really need either attribute (I learned to ski there earlier and it's all the same).

Learning to snowboard on dryslope is very good discipline as you learn to initiate and shape your turns properly ( no lazy kicking round with the back leg). But the reason you learn is that the slope bites. Don't think my arris has ever been so sore as after those first couple of sessions.

Can't speak for the snowboard lessons but my grandson loves his Saturday morning kids club lessons.. Great slope, great club, great race club.

First and last time I landed on my coccyx was at Rossendale! Couldn’t sit down for a week ouch but that was back in 2001. Is it all carpet now ?
