@swskier, yup. I assume they are all wearing some sort of tracker to do that. Seemed to be green or shades from yellow to red or so.

Exactly 100 starters for the mens. This might take some time.

Raposo in the leaders chair, at least for a bit.
Ed Drake struggling to get the words “ Raposo looking to depose….” out in mid flow.

Marco Odermatt, what a legend. Nerves of steel on a brutal, long GS course for the second run.

Well the Women's slalom result was a bit of an upset!

Couldn't agree more@Alastair Pink, . the Austrians are entering a period of 3days mourning.
13th place.......best for an Austrian in World Championship Ladies Slalom.......

Just finishing off breakfast (we’re in Mottaret) and heading down to Le Praz as soon as Pas Du Lac starts spinning. Come on Dave!

Was so worried , at one point I thought Dave was not going to make it , now we need something special

Extremely respectable finish for Dave, dare say he's wishing he'd pushed fractionally harder down the first leg.
5th on the second run is right up there!

What a result for Greece - Silver Medal.
Amazingly gutsy effort by Lucas Braathen, so close to having his appendix removed.

There's been some great racing and surprising results over the last 2 weeks.
Superd courses, sunshine everyday and impressive crowds.
Back to normal WC next week. Let's hope the GB skiers can take some confidence from these championships to the WC.

Have to agree, fantastic two weeks of racing.
Wasn't a fan of the live timing in the GS though. Much prefer the anticipation of the stage gates.

No gold medals in skiing for Austria, that last happened in 1987.
Hirscher must be over the moon that someone on his company‘s skis won a gold medal. I remember people scoffing at him last year when he predicted his skis would win races.

Start delayed due to condition of the snow. They are salting the piste, review of when (if?) it will start about to take place....

@stewart woodward, yes, thanks, I was about to correct my post but you beat me to it.
They are however taking the opportunity to salt the racetrack.

If today's downhill is ultimately cancelled because of the fog in Crans Montana then it will be rescheduled for tomorrow in place of the Women's Super G which will no longer take place.

I've got ladies downhill (repeat of Championship not world cup) on one. And cycling on two.

@maggi, I'm watching it on the app. Looking at their schedule it doesn't look like Eurosport is covering it live on either Eurosport One or Two....

@Alastair Pink, I haven't got the app anymore . Very disappointed about the cancellation of the ladies downhill. I watched it for ages whilst the were waiting for it to possibly go ahead. No idea why they are showing a recording of last week's race rather than the Men's GS.

Women's Downhill in Crans Montana delayed from yesterday now on Eurosport....
|
|
|
|

|
Today's Men's downhill from Aspen started but was halted due to bad weather (blizzard conditions moving in at the top of the course) before 30 skiers had come down, so under FIS rules it wasn't classed as a race, meaning the leader at the time Sejersted from Norway was denied a first ever World Cup win......

@PrimroseAndBlue, the weather played a big role, the first racers had difficult conditions but when the weather improved that favoured the later racers. Just the luck of the draw (literally!).

Oh absolutely, and that's what made it such fun. Some great performances in the trickier conditions nonetheless. And what a podium !

GS training in Reiteralm today. Saw Clement Noel and Eric Read at the top of the lift. Might have seen Alex Tilley skiing.. her van was in the car park. Fabio Gstrein in the silver helmet?

Tempting thought isn't it @swskier, particularly on Swedish snow.
Second run today appeared to be perfectly measured, easy start lost a little time then put in a strong 3rd section regaining a bit......thank you no. 86!
