The GB v Finland Men's Curling semi-final is currently on BBC2. It's a fascinating and tense match, if anyone is interested in watching it.

That was a brilliant match, right until the very last stone. GB just beaten by Finland, so the Scottish boys will play USA for the Bronze.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

was watching too - it was good entertainment. Ok though, I'm a bit lost ..... how come finland had last stone for the last 4 ends in a row (i think) ??????

Adamski, they didn't, I think GB had last stone on at least one of those ends. Last stone, known as The Hammer, is given to the team who loses the previous end.

finland definitely had last stone on all of at least the last 3 ends ... is it something to do with blanking the end? going by what you say - finland had last stone in the 10th because GB won the 9th, Finland blanked the 8th and so retained last stone in the 9th ..... something like that!!!!

Yes, I think! I don't know much about Curling, only what I've picked up from the commentary of a few matches I've watched over the last week.

If you enjoy watching give it a try
Not easy if your south of the border I think there are olny three or four ice rinks that do curling but there are loads of clubs around Scotland
Most have events over the winter where you can have a go and if you like it all the clubs I know are always after new members
