@DB, Mr GS has had a great career - it makes sense - he was spending significant time at home from the tour this year from what was on his social media - he wasn't preforming at a level he must have become accustomed to which must be tough - he has been through surgery as well which I am sure is a factor.
I saw is name pop up last week on the pro ski world tour - wonder if that is something he will get into next year

Sad to see (it always is when a champion retires) but a good call. Going out on top.
Ligety is still a great skier, but at his prime, he was awesome in the GS. Smooth and the angles! It did not seem possible to get into that sort of angulation and still up again.

@holidayloverxx, we skied over from Tignes. It used to coincide with with our Mountainsun trips or later PSB. I think I caught the racing a couple of times. I was there every December from 2008 to 2012.

Couldn’t agree more - performance on top of the general covid issues can’t have made it easier. Hopefully a well spent summer will see her back on the circuit
