Poster: A snowHead

OK I am sadly out the country till the middle of March and still wanna get skiing in this winter!
I am only an intermediate skier and don't really have much knowledge about which resorts are best for late season skiing??
I would be travelling on my own so it would be good to know if there are any other groups travelling at that time of the year! I have only two weeks skiing previous to this but I am a quick learner and my RAF instructor on my last week wouldn't believe that I only had a weeks skiing before he saw me!
Any help??

I was in Les Gets in early April 07 and the late season snow was ace. But like you said it was soup in the PM. Is there any predictions to late season snow this season??

robert_dorling, That's easter! Late March is not late season, that's really late April. We'll be open till the end of April as usual. I don't know whether our slopes will suit you, but the snow will still be here - even last year I managed to ski down on 28th April (black only).

robert_dorling, if I was in your situation I think I'd try to book up with one of the specialist outfits which do combined holidays/tuition. Inspired to Ski, or one of those; there are a range of them. They will have courses in places where they will be able to find snow (Tignes, for example). With evening feedback/video sessions, usually preceeded and/or followed by a few drinks, it's a good formula for a solo skier and fantastically good for your skiing, of course! .
