Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Le Tikal Val Thorens

Morning all
Having just got back from a week of skiing, it is of course time to start thinking about next year's!
We usually do Vrbo/AirBnB but P&V have some good deals for apartments in Le Tikal so am please looking for feedback....has anyone stayed there and could recommend? I know the location (and I might be wrong with this) but I thought it had a bit of a reputation for being a party residence and full of students/yoof which is not really our thing!
Looking mid April again.

Cheers.

Aren’t they the tiny apartments in the Temples of Doom? That’s where they put us seasonaires 25 years ago!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I think these are a big larger and posher, well they look it on the website....proper two bedders. I think you might have been in the Temples du Soleil which are also owned by P&V.

I stayed there in 2018. They might have had a minor refurb since but are largely the same. They're nice, much better than the apartments on the other side of the road where I've also stayed. Definitely feel more spacious and easy ski in/out but higher up the hill - you can exit at the top of the building to the piste that goes through town.

It is the Temples du Soleil building that has the yoof reputation because it's the cheapest two star although I don't think it'll be too bad in mid April. The two buildings use the same reception and share facilities but all the communal stuff is in the Temples; the three star Tikal is quieter and more civilised because it's mainly families and books up quickly. One nice thing is that you can still easily use the same supermarket, pizzeria etc. that's in the main building because the two buildings are linked by a tunnel under the road. They also do daily bread and pastry deliveries. I'd happily go back to the Tikal.
