Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Are you looking for a catered chalet? Even in a less expensive resort than Val d'Isere that'll cost several arms and legs. Le Ski have some nice chalets - have a look at their offering.

I stayed in their other chalet last year and it was brilliant.

@picnmix1974, do you want the Christmas week? In the high resorts that open early the week before Christmas can be much cheaper, and a lot less crowded.

@picnmix1974, I love La Tania as it's perfectly located for skiing. There are a couple of excellent tree lined home runs that would be great for kids and are sheltered in poor weather.

I'm not really the right person to ask about vibe as I don't generally move far out of my digs other than to ski snowHead There's lots of other folk here who can probably provide a good view on those aspects of La Tania.

@picnmix1974,

Which date in December are you looking for? The prices vary greatly.

I've seen a catered chalet for 16 in Val d'isere (need to add your own flights) costing £15k for pre Xmas weeks (8 or 15 Dec).

@picnmix1974, check out Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise, it's not a huge resort but it's very picturesque and there are planty of bigger chalets that will bmete your requirements. It's close to val d'isere and will normally be ok for snow even that early in the season
