Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Fraid not it’s a terrible forecast. Gutted that I missed out today but delighted for those who had some really good skiing at Yad Moss and Raise. Some great pics on the FB pages snowHead

Weardale ran today.
Not quite enough snow at Yad Moss unfortunately but Raise looks good and will run tomorrow.

Not quite enough snow to run the tow today at Yad Moss. Went to Raise instead. Great wind packed powder on the Presidents run. Minus 6.5c around Penrith. Squeaky cold snow up on the hill and good cover with some decent drifts on the President’s run and some great moguls by lunchtime. The operators had to take three frozen Pomas off the line and the lock was frozen on the Members hut . A moderately awesome day with a good turnout for day two of the season.
Such a shame that the conditions are going to crap out this weekend. Sad

Looks like more potential this coming week than most of the Scottish ski areas. Probably manage to snow in the Central Belt too, thus unleashing thousands of don’t check the reports before driving 2 to 3 hours type skiers for next weekend! rolling eyes

 snowHeads are a friendly bunch.

Lots of snow drifting around tonight. Weardale website suggests they are hoping to run tomorrow depending on conditions. Yad Moss will assess tomorrow pm about the possibility of running on Saturday.
It will probably depend how wet/mild it gets tomorrow afternoon.

Yad Moss, Weardale, Lake District and probably Allenheads all expected to run today though inevitably conditions will be thin.
Looks like 4-5 inches overnight and currently about -2c at Yad Moss with verylight wind and currently poor visibility. hill Snow falling this afternoon.

I landed at Newcastle Airport an hour ago - these pics were taken about 10 mins from touchdown. Couldn't get my bearings - but somewhere in the Pennines! Puzzled

Good sunny skiing today at Yad Moss and Raise, although I couldn’t get up there myself.
Some nice pictures on the Facebook Groups.

Well that is a case of mistaken identity by myself. So it wasn't you who tried my Full Tilt boot on this afternoon ?

Anyway, today was excellent please pass on my many many thanks to the team for getting the lift up & running by half nine. I put first lines in this morning and was still skiing at 4pm.

53 uplifts for 24.6 miles & 21,744ft, it got a bit slushy & bare at the lift base this afternoon but above about half way the snow stayed excellent and dry.

Wasn't clear enough earlier in the morning. (That's now as in I used to live pretty near Yad. Now I don't.)

Hiked the snowboards up Skiddaw on Sunday. Rewarded with some astonishing snow drifts off the north side. Bootpacked three big runs then gave in to save the legs for the descent back to the van. Such a surreal day!

@Peter S, thanks, yes was a great day's skiing. I reckon I could have got the sixty but I didn't quite ski till the last lift and I spent some time with the gentleman I thought was you who tried my boots on.

Next time out, eh?
