Does anyone rotate their highbacks? I've been riding nearly 20 years now and I didn't realise it was a thing!
I have a forward stance normally with 24 degrees on the front foot, should I be rotating the highback so that it is parallel with the heel edge?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

It's part of a snowboard binding i think. Unsurprisingly the plate at the back that's quite high. The bit boarders fold down when they are carrying their boards.

I rotate mine, I ride 30 degrees front foot, but since I have very stiff bindings and boots it doesn't make as much difference as if they were softer.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Yes leggy. It means your fore aft movement is easier. It can reduce some “calf bite”.

You'll need to Register first of course.

You'll probably struggle to get the highback around that far... just rotate it so its sort of towards the heel edge but still comfortable and providing more support to the angle you're pushing back at.
And you are not alone - took me years to do this too...

Is this thread about office chairs?

I never knew this either (after 15 plus years of riding) until I purchased a new pair of bindings last week and actually read the instructions!
I will be trying it on my trip to Mayrhofen next week…

A tiny bit of Forward lean on the rear possibly on the front is another adjustment option ..its personal depends what you like or want .
This is different to rotating the high backs .
Another thing is kicking your rear highback down flat before getting on chairs .

Rotation works beter on some bindings than on others. I rotate a little on my contact pros but not on my cartels. I have atlas' this season so will play a bit with them and see how they go. I'm not overly it makes that much difference to us mortals maybe pros?

@leggyblonde, you'll be telling us next that all those little tuning tweaks, waxes, edge polishing, built-in tech and sports energy supplements are just placebos! HERESY!

@leggyblonde, just ride safe in the knowledge that your setup is now probably now just that bit more righterer than most others... *THUMBS*

It's of pretty minimal importance. I have some bindings (splitboard bindings in particular) where you can't rotate the highbacks. Can't say it's ever bother me. If it makes your setup more comfortable for you, knock yourself out!
