Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

ise is our 'Swiss' expert. Sure he'll be able to help when he next pops in. Here's a previous post he made on the area.

Have a look also in snowBase at the top of the page. In Resorts you'll find a link to the offical web site (which is in summer mode at present)

dchilton, you're right, provided the canton allows sales to foreigners then you're OK. Maybe that's the issue about Switzerland.

Villars has a fairly inconsistent snow record, so you should base your expectations on a study of past winters and a realistic projection of how many dud winters and good winters might be in store. That's if the chalet's to be consistently used as a ski base.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Villars is in the Vaud which has the most relaxed foreign sales policy of all the cantons, I'd be concerned personally that would lead to local hotspots in property prices. I'm toying with buying another place in Switzerland but I'm able to buy pretty much anywhere due to my resident status so I'd personally avoid areas non-residents were allowed to buy for more than one reason.

So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much
