 Poster: A snowHead

Hi all,
Booked a last minute(ish) trip to Avoriaz from 11th-14th April. Flying into Geneva.
We have a group of 5, and looking for recommendations for private transfers. Anyone used any recently and would use again? A quick google search shows most companies similar in price.
Cheers,
Dave

 Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

For such a short trip it's possible that renting a car would be cheapest option

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@SnoodyMcFlude, Thanks mate- will take a look. I've used WeSki the last few holidays which has included transfers so not much experience recently!
@Origen, Will cost up the van plus parking and see where we land

Certainly with shared minibus transfers you tend to get what you pay for with Geneva/PdS transfers. Most providers are around the same price and never had/skied with people who've had real issues. There are a couple of operators who undercut the average though and they tend to be the ones people can (but most people don't) have issues with.

We used AlpyBus from Geneva to Avoriaz last week - no problems either direction, desk easy to find in the airport and good comms over text/email the days beforehand. Drops off at the Prodains Cable Car above Morzine so need to bear that in mind when you get up to Avoriaz (esp. if you have a lot of luggage and are located at the top of Avoriaz - might need to book a horse or snowmobile taxi if you don't have a strapping teenage son like us!).

Thanks again all. Cant wait to get out there this weekend. Group of 5 35 yrs olds. Should manage to carry our stuff
Last question...! We arrive lunch time on Saturday, and fly home Tuesday. Suggestions on lift passe options. Can we book online prior? I cant see a half day ticket online. Are these offered at resort? If not I'll just book 3 full days to reduce time at the resort!

"Suggestions on lift passe options."
Check online for end of season offers - last week I bought a mix of Avoriaz only tickets for the first 2 days (max for Avoriaz ticket was 2 days for some reason but that limit appears to have gone now!) then full Portes Du Soleil for the last 3 days.
For first two days, had to pay extra 3 euros per person to get the needed physical card (several self service pickup locations around the resort) then once you have the card can just add extra days onto it online before you go out.
Looks like they might have a 5 hour pass option, but I didn't use it and looking tonight it doesn't seem to work for just Avoriaz online, only for PdS but then 5hrs for that is a bit pointless. https://www.skipass-avoriaz.com/en/winter/

This time of year I'd buy when you get there. It's not like the lift office queue will be long at lunch time on a Saturday at this point in the season and the staff are usually good at telling you the best option based on what's open/what deals they have.
