Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Wanted - slalom ski 155-160 length

Poster: A snowHead
Stockli SL Laser have spoiled me for life but at €1,600+ I can’t justify them. Radius around 12/13, 66 underfoot. Anyone got a slalom ski that their teenager has outgrown? I’m only 162cm

Someone on ebay is selling Head FIS SLs

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/177845683752

Or I've got a set of RC4 WC SCs in a 160 (12.5m radius) in the lovely teal colourway with around 3 weeks on them.

Like this:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/FISCHER-WORLDCUP-Binding-Slalomski-Collection/dp/B0DSPPCR74?th=1&psc=1&tag=amz07b-21

I'd take £250 but that's without a binding, as I use them with a Protector binding which I want to keep. They are power rail (i.e. slide on/slide off bindings) equipped, so you could buy a new set of Fischer bindings for around £100 or a new set of Protectors for around £200. I love the skis but next season there's a Freeflex Protector coming, so I'll buy those and use my e-race pros (which have a couple of meters longer radius that suits my style of skiing a little better) more.

What a coinkeydinck!

I also had a pair of Stockli Laser SLs out on hire a few weeks back and also found them fabulous. Likewise didn't really want to spend £1500 odd quid on a pair, so after much research Atomic S9 Redster are supposed to be very similar (some have even claimed better!).
I've just bought a pair and will be trying them out this week. They are half the price of the Stocklis.

I just noticed your location says Hemel, I regularly go there. If you want you can have a go on the Atomics see what you reckon, although they are 165cm it should give a fair idea.

I have a pair of Atomic S9s in 153cm, but the older Servotec ones, not the current Revoshocks.

Excellent ski, bought them years ago, way too short for me, skiied them for a day, been in the garage ever since.

The later Revoshocks in 165cm are my current SL skis, and I also have a pair of Stockli Laser SLs, and I prefer the Atomics.

Make me an offer if you are interested - I haven't really researched their value. London based.

Edited - these, but only used for a day.

@CathyAuLait, Why? Do you intend to race slalom? Get a decent piste performance ski instead. Most of our female instructors ski on Head Skis as their everyday ski. https://www.head.com/en/product/easy-joy-315655-set

Thanks everyone, I’ve found some 2nd hand Salomon slalom pros which are lovely. Tiny sweet spot but massive grin when it all comes together. Head Superjoys are great but very different ski for a different use. I’m a regular Hemelite so know the Head brand well.
