Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Finding a ski buddy in Japan

I have to be in Japan at the end of Feb for work. I have the opportunity to extend the trip for a few days to ski, say ski days of 28th Feb - 3 March.

1. Is the snow likely to be good still at that point? Decent chance of powder? I wouldn't bother for spring snow.
2. Ideally I'd like a ski buddy, anyone likely to be around and fancy a random friend. Or any tips on finding someone to ski with?

At that time of the season you normally have to head north to get a decent chance of good powder snow in such a small time window
