Most people are surprised when they find out that NY has the most. But especially from a European's prospective, ignore the states that are "East Coast". You only "ski the east" if you are working for a while in NY or Boston or Philadelphia or nearby, or visiting someone, ect., and feel the need to get in some turns without getting on a plane.

Finally snowing again here in BC. Got about 10cm over last 24 hours here in Big White.

I'm sure I won't be the only UK Snowhead diehard to have travelled to the US specifically to sample US east coast skiing
Mrs MA and I just love to ski different places and had brilliant trips (and snow conditions) skiing mainly at Killington and Stowe, plus other places like Smugglers Notch and Mount Sunapee. We thoroughly enjoyed both trips - a great contrast to our other North American ski experiences in Colorado, California/Nevada, BC and Alberta.

Wow. Kudos to you. I guess because the "ice coast" is my backyard, I look down upon it. Going out west and to the Alps is special for us. I suppose if you are not from the northeast portion of NA, you don't appreciate that for persons not exposed to such, the low altitude, below tree line skiing brings with it a different vibe and look, and skiing in the "glades" is something not easily done elsewhere, as is skiing narrow "trails" flanked by thick evergreen woods. When conditions are good, which will be rarer than out west or in the Alps, the better east coast spots, of which you hit a few of them, are certainly enjoyable. But before someone spends bank on a trip, they should know what they are getting into - much lower elevation, much shorter runs, and a much higher chance of bad snow and/or icy conditions.
When conditions are optimal, I think the best skiing in the east is at Whiteface, home of the 1980 olympics, with a stay in Lake Placid, which is a great town. But it doesn't get the best conditions in large part because the mountains running up the spine of Vermont tend to suck up moisture coming in from the Atlantic.

Well this has been quiet. I understand if people don’t want to experience US Immigration right now, but no reports on Canada? How have they had it this year?

Lots of snow in Blue River, so sun peaks should be good, although it's warmer than usual, and possibly very location dependent. The base there is 5m, and we were getting lots of fresh.
Whistler has had 3-4 cm a day for the last 3 days - they're blowing stuff up as I type. It's a bit dust on crust, but if you pick your routes conditions are good top to bottom.
And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

@Orange200, having just completed two NA road trips I offer the following:
Sun Peaks BC: skiing ok but very warm and spring-like, lots of brown patches down low. Cord turns to piles of mush over white ice by 11am. That said, hanging on pretty well with what they have to work with.
Silver Star BC: same as above
Whistler: I wasn't there, but mates who are regulars there left there early due to rain and poor conditions
Schweitzer ID: backside closed (again) so only half open; I had to ford a small stream on Stella's run! Grim.
Big Sky MT: rocky off the top, coverage ok on groomers
Grand Targhee WY: doing the best on the continent except for maybe Mammoth or Lake Louise, neither of which I can confirm first hand.
Sun Valley ID: bare on south slopes but their Dolomiti-esque snowmaking system has all main runs open with manmade snow....in other words, typical SV conditions
Lost Trail MT/ID: a throwback area on the Continental Divide, had great and sufficient natural snow
I'd say this is the worst winter around here since 1977. But winter isn't over. Storm in progress in the PNW as I type. We need it.
As for the border: I can absolutely understand why anyone would want to avoid the US right now; I sort of want to myself! Several Canadians I rode lifts with indicated, in their stereotypically pleasant way, that they would not come down for any reason. They also didn't hold all this nonsense against me, which was nice. I have heard that CDN border patrol has been nasty to Americans going north, but my guy was fine.
So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much

No rain in whistler this week,5-10cm fresh each day. I just love the internet for incorrect info!
You know it makes sense.

@phil_w, I don't see where anyone said "this week"

Just in from another day of snow in whistler. The snow is getting better with more fresh. Snowing hard down the highway to Squamish, but some rain in the city.
@s in s: you weren't here, but you posted incorrect information. Enough said.

@phil_w, you intentionally misrepresented what I said. Mates left due to rain. You reliably recoil at anyone suggesting that it rains in Whistler, a place where it rains as often as any major resort on the continent.
Now enough said.

Haven't traveled at all for skiing this winter, so can only really comment on Banff and Kicking Horse.
Both had great starts, then an extended dry period, but the snow held up well.
Now getting snow again, and conditions are quite good again, especially in the alpine.
Supposed to get about 20cm tonight, so fingers crossed for tomorrow morning!
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Heading to jasper on the 1st April for 6 nights followed by ski big 3 for 6 nights.
How’s it all looking? Webcams look good but i wonder if anyone is out there at the minute?
Did a trip report last year when we went in February but hoping for a bit warmer this time.

Do tell. I wondered about Jasper for cold snow in April. How long does it stay open for?
I think until the end of May. It looks cold still so must be good!
May 3 is closing day for both Marmot and Lake Louise. Sunshine is open until May 18.

Not much to talk about for the Western US states. Was the shortest and worst snow year for Mt Bachelor. Going to be an interesting fire season. As in really bad.
But we did have a few late season storms come through the past 2 weeks. So, we'll take whatever we can get at this point. Last day of operations at Bachelor is April 19th.
But today with 25+cm's on the stake and counting was a nice way to end my season.
