Me and the crew (3 snowboarders and 4 skiers) is going to monterosa (champoluc-gressoney-alagna) next week for 6 day riding, we will be stationed at Champoluc.
Anything we must see, do, any hidden gems?
The plan is to explore the valleys and at least one day go up Indren. Would also be fun to ride between som trees, is Jolanda forrest the place to be or is there a better option?

There's a broad powder field skiers left off the top lift above champoluc but I would be very cautious going up there with current snow pack and would not do so without a guide. To be honest, I probably wouldn't go there at all given the weak layer that has been causing so much trouble.
There are some fun trees above gressoney off a couple of the slow wooden chairs. Probably a safer bet but caution is the word.

I'm thinking of a long weekend in Alagna. How's the season been out there?

@archors, was over the last couple of days. Pistes, as to be expected, solid and immaculately groomed.
Didn't go across Indren as visibility pretty shocking both days but bumps under Mandria looked surprisingly thin.
Probs about 15cms fresh in Champoluc village this morning.

Well I've booked a refundable hotel and car rental for mid/ late March so hopefully it holds up okay. I think I'll book returns to Milan Malpensa soon and if it's not looking great maybe I'll drive down to La Thuile or Sauze instead.
Keep me updated on the conditions anyone that's there please!

We are in Staffal Gressoney this week.
Conditions are brilliant, apart from white-out moments. Upper mountain was closed Tuesday.
Gressoney and Alagna seem to have deeper snowpack at the same height.
Yesterday did all 3 valleys in one day. Staffal - Bettaforca - Champoluc village - some laps there - Staffal - Salati - Alagna and back.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Turns out 1m+ of powder (monte rosa today, in champoluc side) is too much powder. Resort closed. Tried skinning up in the afternoon, too much snow for anywhere not steep enough to avalanche.
Too much powder is such a first world problem, but there we go. Oh and shoveling the car out was fun too.

Frachey still closed today, even if staffal open all the way up to both passes. Is it more dangerous on the frachey side? Seems odd to still be closed. It's been over a day of no snow.
