Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

British skier drank alcohol offered by spectators during World Cup race
23-year-old British skier Gabriel Gledhill reported that he accepted offers of alcoholic beverages from spectators during the King's Marathon at the World Cup in Oslo.
Gledhill finished 67th, more than 20 minutes behind champion Einar Hedegaard. His application for permanent residence in Norway has been rejected. He must now leave the Scandinavian country by March 28.
"I started drinking beer somewhere in the third round. I didn't drink that much, but I started to get a little drunk. I drank everything: beer, harder drinks. Someone even offered me mouthwash. But I almost immediately threw up. It was a very fun experience.
This decision (not to renew my residence permit in Norway) is changing my life. I have to leave Norway and the Schengen area by March 28th. This is very difficult and unexpected. It's like breaking up with my girlfriend. I had a very good time here, I love Norway. This is very sad," VG quotes Gledhill as saying.
Skier was overtaken on the last lap by Jessica Diggins (USA) and Frida Karlsson (Sweden), who started the marathon 45 minutes later.

It's not clear, was his application rejected because of the drinking, or the drinking because his application was rejected? It seems the latter is most likely, just adopted a bit of an eff it mentality.
