Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hello,

We have a booking with BA for 4 people. Details are as follows:

Gatwick to Geneva: 21 Jan 2023 at 14:50 landing at 17:30

Geneva to Gatwick: 28 Jan 2023 at 14:05 landing at 14:50

One in the group cannot make it and BA won’t let us cancel it’s ticket. However, BA allows me to change the name of the fourth passenger for £100.

The big plus for snow heads is that my luggage allowance is huge. I believe I can check in 8 bags of 32kg each. I will be using 3 so the rest are available and you can also bring a cabin bag and backpack.

Hi @Yona,

Just be careful with you allowance as whilst you may be allowed 32kg luggage many airports/airlines only allow individual pieces to be 25kg max for manually handling reasons

Checked with BA. Each passenger gets 2 bags of 32kg. This includes winter sports equipment, etc.

We won’t have more than a bag each so that means the forth person could bring 5 bags Eh oh! (technically he or she will be checking two. The rest would be at our name as second bag).

@JayTheLesser, I was always under the impression that the handling limit was 32kg.
