Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Booger - that would probably have made the difference for the January trip. Booked DFDS this evening and the saving over ET will pay for an overnight stop and half a tank of diesel.

We always use DFDS Multitrip tickets, £69 ew, fully flexible. Just bought 4 return trips for this year, £552 total. One of the trips we have booked in May would cost us £598 on Eurotunnel Flexiplus. Against Eurotunnel standard return for our January trip the saving is still over £100.

@Timc, that's a great price but I go over in a crew cab van prices are comparable to chunnel but with out the flexi, the tunnel has more travel time options and quicker

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

@Timc, I was looking for this tye of thing as I used to use the tunnel frequent traveller. The offers DFDS have on their website only seem to be only partially transferable at most ? Have they changed it since you bought ?

Up until this year they were fully and freely transferable but I suspect that the ability to transfer all was being abused so they have cut the numbers that could be transferred, also massive price increase this year, up by 50%, used to be £46 e.w. plus added a transfer charge. There are also certain peak dates in the year when they charge a £50 supplement

@Mother hucker, In practical terms we have found that the hour travel time gained on the tunnel makes very little difference to the total time for the 750 mile journey.
