Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Montgenèvre

Anyone in Montgenèvre? I booked tickets to Turin 18-20 April and I have a nice apt to book in Montgenèvre but I’m a bit nervous about the snow disappearing by then! Prob is I have to pay for the apt by the weekend.

If the snow looks very risky I would change to Cervinia, but I can’t find as nice accommodation there and I’m also worried about the lift closure risk there as we only have a couple of days there.

Thanks!

@munchimo, there's still plenty of snow in Montgenevre and we could see some more this week up there.

I'm based in Serre Che but I was skiing in Claviere at the weekend and friends from here have been skiing up there this week.

And the past couple of days I've been scoring excellent conditions ski-touring up near there.

But there are changes ahead with the weather so fingers crossed.

This is a relief to hear, we’re due to arrive in Montgenevre on Sunday.

Peanutlady would you mind to post a quick update when you get there please?!

Weather cam do you mean good or bad changes ahead?! If the snow would be bad there is there anywhere I could drive to nearby that it would be better?

Thanks so much

Hi, still plenty of skiing on the north facing mountain although quite icy coming back into resort as the temp dropped overnight.

There’s no snow in the village so ski-in/out unlikely. The south facing mountain at the back of village (near the MontyExpress) is all but closed.

Thanks so much @peanutlady. I saw today there were 26 slopes open - only a few reds. Are the slopes all quite long? It's a bit hard to tell just from the piste map. I'm taking my teenage boys so just wondering if enough to keep them busy or if I should change to Cervinia as everything looks to be open there. Thanks for the update!
