Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

The Northern Powderhouse: Allenheads, Raise, Weardale and Yad Moss. 2021- 2022

The last snow in England on Brown Cove in the Lake District will have disappeared by now. Early by normal standards Sad
May be cold enough for some new snow next week but really it’s the end of the snow season here. Time to put the tows and equipment away and think about summer maintenance.

Maintenance has started at Yad Moss. The Pomas have been taken off and stored away until the first snow of the season. A ‘patio’ has been built in front of the control hut to prevent the mud issue there and provide more dry working space. Three working party dates have been set up for this summer. We should have about 200m of fencing to replace and repair. Attend all three working parties and you get a free season pass ! Details on the club snow report and Facebook pages.

Other jobs will include possible dismantling and refurbishment of pylon 9, (the bullwheel pylon. This will be a fairly major project), pole marking of a thin snow-smooth run from top of the tow to bottom via the enclosure run and possible replacement of the tow access bridge behind the ticket office, if we have time. No doubt other jobs and improvements will also crop up.

Any big plans for jobs at Weardale or Raise this summer ?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Haven't heard anything re. Weardale - but am hoping they will be installing 100% snowmaking, to guarantee skiing from November to April wink
