I'm around Verbier for the rest of the season and remembered today, with a bit of fresh powder, that there's a lot of work to do on my skiing
Does anyone have any recommendations for an instructor? I'm an intermediate: confident on pistes and pick my way down the itineraries un-elegantly, but would like to improve my technique and flow. I'm looking for someone I can try to arrange a reasonably priced bundle of lessons with, but guess all ski schools would be able to do that.
Thanks,
Jack

Fresh powder? Today? Of significance?
Jealous.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Then you can post your own questions or snow reports...

Brandon Smith from Neige Adventure in Nendaz is brilliant - Would be able to meet you at Siviez, not sure about Verbier proper
After all it is free

Thanks. I think I'm probably going to try something through his ski school - they don't have the numbers to run their usual courses but have offered me a reasonably priced bundle of private lessons that seems like a good option.

Powder Extreme Camp?
Yes! I did one earlier in the season and wanted to do one again, it was good.. they were due to be running one next week but cancelled with lack of numbers and currently no more planned for the season..

Altitude or Performance are both ski orientated.
Thanks. I've sent an enquiry to Altitude to see what they can offer.

Warren Smith was out making a nice track on Mont Gelé - Tortin. Alas his pupils kept falling over so we showed them the way
@jackus, should be epic conditions next few days. Make sure you’ve got some pow skis! If I can clear the calendar might see you out there!
snowHeads are a friendly bunch.

Looks like heavy snow Sun-Wed which could lead to fantastic conditions. Think we might head over from Cham (lots of friends have recently and it all seems fine?) on Wed-Thurs-Fri. A cheeky private lesson wouldn't go amiss so keeping an eye on this thread
And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Looks awesome! Maybe one day, if the lessons pay off...
I'm on a 96mm all-mountain ski, hopefully I'll stay afloat!
We had a couple of nice runs down Chassoure - Tortin but nothing as spectacular as that.. and a nasty scrapey trip down Vallon D'Arbi!

I was in Cham Dec/Jan/Feb before heading over here. Ended up getting a half-season 4 Valleys pass which begins 1st Feb, so crossed over for a ski most weekends and had no problems at the Le Châtelard border. Was stopped once on the return into France and they were happy with me saying living within 30km of the border (had Cham tenancy contract as proof) so therefore no PCR needed. Good luck and enjoy!
So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much

There won’t be any scraping around this week. 30cm of cold blower pow fell last night. I’ve got a cave full of pow skis so if you want to try something let me know.
