 Poster: A snowHead

Hi,
Reviews on St Sorlin and La Toussiere please - family with 2 children.
for example if you were to stay on the Font de neige in St Sorlin - would that be noisy at night?
And what is the snow like at Easter time generally? Is it snow sure ?

 Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

I've skied there but haven't stayed there.
There should be enough snow at Easter but it might be quite slushy - there aren't a lot of runs that are both high and north facing (really only the ones at the top of St Sorlin). I was there in mid March and La Toussuire / Le Corbier were slushy even in the morning.
Easter is quite early next year which helps a bit.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I skied multiple times there in January and over Xmas holidays. St Sorlin is very calm and brilliant for families with small kids. There is a long green slope where kids can practice what they learnt at school. Out accommodation of choice was Odalys L'Ouillon and we were happy with its location. Front de Neige seems even better.

@Tillyfulford, we've been there with kids and friends easter a few years back. Unlike La Toussuire and Le Corbier, which are examples of bad brutalism, St. Sorlin is at its heart a real village which is nice. Overall exposition of the whole resort is east, but late march early april should be fine. We had great snow back then and this year would have been perfect as well.
Party center is the Odalys L'Oree des Pistes Residence and the Yeti Bar nearby, both located at the upper end of town. All the rest is very family orientated. We've been to Le Balcon des Neiges which is not super fancy, but was excellent value. Pool is small, bat wasn't overcrowded that time of year. No real ski in ski out. It's about a 150m walk, you reach the pistes at a little bridge. There are other places with better acces to the pistes, but some may even require using a skibus.

Amazing thank you.
Thinking of investing in an apartment on the Font de Neige and wondered if anyone has any strong opinions on this- especially form a long term investment point of view ski ing wise

@Tillyfulford, do you mean "investment" in terms of lots of nice ski holidays, or "investment" in terms of long term financial return? Is it an outright purchase or a leaseback?

It would be an outright apartment purchase on the font de neige …

@Tillyfulford, Have you been to the resort? Your initial post suggested that you had not.
