Been snowing here in ADH pretty regularly since yesterday evening, and today. About 20-25cm at resort level. Only problem is visibility is pretty low on the mountain, so sticking to the easy runs today

At least 50cm fallen at resort level in past 48 hours. Unfortunately its also windy and lifts are closing, and the official ADH app has sent a notification to stay at your "local resort", due to winds. I.e. dont go anywhere you cant ski back.to your accommodation from, as you might get stuck if they turn off a lift. Weather looks calmer after the weekend, so should be excellent conditions for anyone heading to ADH this weekend.
Some insider info courtesy of Ride-Along sessions with Cookie on YouTube (and other social media) who skinned up and had a chat with the repair crew up top about the pic blanc repairs:
Comes down to repairs going fairly well overall, but 17th was never likely happening. Damage is mainly to the cables themselves, and they need to be (partially) replaced, they should be getting those new cables in somewhere in the next few weeks.
30th of January seems a little unlikely but the crew are optimistic for February holidays, pisteurs are also already marking pistes and getting ready for opening.
P.S.: going through a closed tunnel and skiing fresh pow where there's normally nothing but moguls looks pretty cool too, video worth watching all the way through.

Decent day but busy and some town level random lift closures after lunch.
Wind was very strong at 2700ft la blanc so blowing snow and skiers everywhere
Snow due Wedensday but slopes are holding up well.

Higher slopes really firm in places but skiing beautifully. A bit intimidating for those of a nervous disposition. Weekend beginning to look promising for more snow, hopefully not followed by yesterday’s winds.

It's pretty firm in most places but with some soft piles being blown and moved around.
Few pretty scrubbed areas on the lower high traffic slopes. However not seen any collisions or Injurys, no straight speed merchants so far.
Was quiet today and kids really came on well on a sunny day. Best holiday ever I am told.
Youngest daughter is having to be reined in as over confidence out runs ability lol.
And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

I'm out there as well this week.
Good in some places, firm in others. Lovely conditions down into Villard-Reculas, but in the shade the reds down into Oz were hard pack ice in places. I headed up high but again found most of the pistes wind blasted. I skied down Olympique from Marmottes 1 on the way back to resort for lunch and it was a mix of bare icy patches but also wind accumulated pockets of powder. Not that enjoyable and there were a lot of beginners having 'mares on it.
Resort needs another big dump of snow urgently.
So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much

What a difference a day makes. Those wind scoured pistes of yesterday had been well managed overnight. We had a superb day today, really lovely skiing. Yes some fresh would be nice, but give me blue skies and well prepared pistes and I for one am happy

Brilliant weather today, and you could be the only person on a piste at times. Cloudy with a few wee flakes tomorrow and more on Friday and Sunday to top up the scrubbed and ice-hardened areas that are appearing lower down.
Tell you what is not good, bloody cartel the bars owners are running with this e8-14a pint, thieving so and so's.

Fantastic weather and slopes in great condition. I headed up Pic Blanc after a few warm up laps and then down into Vaujany. The slopes were in great condition and I had a lovely morning of skiing before heading back over to Alpe d'Huez after lunch.

Great day on all the fresh snow which had settled down. Quiet day again with next to.no ques anywhere.
The kids have one week under their belt and I am gobsmacked at their ability to get down a few reds with their instructor. Just like me its not as gracefull as their mum but for their first ever week learning they have done brilliant.
It's now chucking it down with even more snow and plenty more on way so the runs will be in great shape next week and its building a huge base down valley too.
Too many cars with no chains or snow tyres it appears

I’m leaving resort in morning at 5am. Full winters on car but just bought a set of chains. Not risking it!

It's was chaos for 90% of the hill for upcoming cars. What we surprised us, lots of drivers who were stumped at putting snow tyres on and reading instruction while stopped in middle of the road. I was glad we came up last week as it looked like a very long slog up to the village.

This is when the gendarmes at bourg d’oisans need to do a better job. The snow was well forecast.

Indeed, I said to the better half, why did they not know it would be carnage, it was forecast since Thursday, chucked it down from hill down to valley from 4pm yesterday and announced on apps as mental?
Anyway I have to say Gernoble must rank as the worst transit we have experienced, dear god utter carnage. I now see why its so much cheaper than Lyon. Never again.

As an ADH regular I've used both Grenoble and Chambery airports. I now use Lyon to aviod the carnage and delays!

Lyon airport is lovely with the new terminal, so much nicer than Geneva, Grenoble or Chambery. I used to like Grenoble airport when I was visiting a friend in the Vercors but otherwise it is a pain in the ass to use. It isn't on the main motorways like Lyon and the terminal is so small (or at least it was in late 2000s when I was regularly in and out of there) that they regularly had to put up marquees in ski season to handle arrival and departures.
Back to the weather. I left resort at 6am on Sunday morning heading to Geneva for a 11:30am flight. It had snowed again and the roads were a bit snowed up on the way down with the ploughs doing their best. We had snow tires on the hire car and had no issues and didn't need chains. Other vehicles were clearly in all-seasons without chains or socks and were floundering both up and down the Alpe. We saw a van getting loaded onto a vehicle carrier half way up and other drivers with hazards on having nightmares. I was surprised the snow level was so low, nearly down to Vizille. We also his a big snow storm going over the high ground between Annecy and Geneva. Arrived in plenty of time for the flight.
So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much

@Wilip, not sure "dump" is the right word - 10cm maybe?
Freezing level/temp is good though.

Looking forward to blue skies and freshly groomed pistes tomorrow. That said it is still snowing down here (Vaujany) and we might have to put up with some fresh on the corduroy. A hard life.

Going to AdH for the very first time (actually first time in the Alps) with my girlfriend on the 7th Feb. Bit worried about the weather. Are weather forecasts usually accurate or is it still too early to say?
Do you think there’s a chance we’ll get a couple of bluebird days? Will there be enough snow for green and blue slopes? How is AdH usually in the week of 7th-14th Feb?

You're more likely to get bluebird at ADH than most other resorts in Alps.
There has been regular snow over the past two weeks. Snow is good and will continue to be good well into March at resort level.
In short, you have nothing to worry about, enjoy your trip!

with all the snow and low temps recently, absolutely nothing to worry about. Conditions likely will be amazing.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Load testing began yesterday on the Pic Blanc. Fingers crossed for Saturday.
Finished the day with a couple of hours in Moosebar, super fun.
