Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Mature skiers - anyone interested in a combined skiing and bridge trip?

Have been skiing for 30 years, but now interested in maybe combining more gentle skiing with gentle bridge - could be to either France or Austria. Anyone out there interested?

Yes I am. I have been organising a skiing and chamber music holiday for the past 20 years . That has just reached its terminus and I would very much enjoy a (gentle) skiing and (equally gentle) bridge holiday in February or March 2026. Blue runs for me and preferably rubber bridge ! France preferably ( free ski pass for over 70s !) You can contact me at michael@mda29.uk I look forward to hearing from you. Michael

This group used to run ski and bridge holidays in Champagny, often saw them in the Roc des Blanchets restaurant https://www.alpinebridge.co.uk/main.html
Maybe worth contacting them to see if anything is planned in the future.

Not necessarily.... Even as an over 75 I only got a miserable reduction to be the same price as an adolescent. Varies a lot between resorts.

Les Arcs has a season pass for over 75 and over at 50€. Over 65 have a reduction of IIRC 20%

Andrew Robson organises skiing and bridge holidays. I haven’t been on one but am always being sent bumf about them.

@Origen, is quite correct that each resort in France is a law unto itself regarding what they charge over 70s. We are just paying for Carre Neige on top of our lift passes here in Ste Foy for two weeks - the passes are free, 76 and 80.

I ski and play bridge (not simultaneously clearly! and have been on both skiing and bridge holidays, but I would never consider mixing them. If I go skiing I want to ski all day and then have a relaxing evening (needed at my advanced age) and go to bed early ready for the next day. There are a number of companies offering both, Andrew Robson in particular but they can be very expensive.

I'd be interested in gentle skiing (blues) and gentle bridge holidays - good idea!
