Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 40,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Gizmo to help get ski boots on?

Anyone know the name of those funny bag things that you can use to get your ski boots on? You slide your foot into this sleeve thing, slip your boot on (without the usual agony of all the bones rearranging themselves) and then whip the bag off again. Brilliant! But.... I don't know what they are called, so i can't buy one. Help please!

Not sure what is but you should keep it away from water and whatever you do, do not use it after midnight.

They seem to work well, and I could do with one, but £10 for a piece of slippy plastic?

Can I not make one?
Can we not have a snowheads branded one?

I think we had a thread on this before and decided that a supermarket carrier was as effective (and unecessary).

I tried the supermarket bag, and it lasted about 5 seconds. But then, if they are free it doesn't matter too much I suppose!

Thanks everyone for the help.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

A pair of Slippins arrived today. Brilliant things if, like me, you damned nearly need to break the bones in your foot to get round the corner of a ski boot. Completely useless if you just slide into your boots without fuss, grunts, groans, pulled muscles, agony, curses and the odd tear. [That was a tear as in teardrop, not as in torn from end to end]

Which supermarket? Was is just a carrier bag, or was it an M&S carrier bag?

(To be fair, I tried one of those hessian 'bag for life' things from Sainsburys. Didn't notice much improvement Happy

Rule 5.

But also, pull the tongue and shell to the inside , that'll open the shell up more. (at least it does on my Heads and that's how I was shown to do it by the fitter)
