Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hello! I'm new here. Would be great to meet some new people to ride with. Can never find anyone to go on holidays with.. I particularly like freeriding and would love to have more opportunity to explore some backcountry spots.

[b] Age : 35
[b] Weight : really? Who wold ask a lady such a question?
[b] Height : 'bout 5'8
[b] Equipment : Some kind of Burton boots. and .. wait, let me check.. forgot what my board was - it's a K2 Beleiver, 159. boots are Burton Ruler, bindings are K2 cinch
[b] Experience : Done a few seasons
[b] Competence : pretty darn competent. Not so much when it comes to freestyle.
[b] Resorts Visited : Alpe D'Huez, Chatel. Risoul, La Plagne, 3 Valleys, Whistler.. some others, oh yeah, Chamonix
[b] Favourite Run/Moment : Jeez.. can't really remember specifics.. but probably somewhere Neil McNab took us on backcoutry week in Cham. Or Whistler.. Spankey's ladder?
[b] This season : tbc.. off piste bash in March? Was hoping to do a week at Skiers Lodge in La Grave or CatSkiing in Macedonia.. but think it's prob not gonna happen. Maybe next year?
[b] Goals : Just to go hard an have fun.. I guess? Neil McNab doe this trip which combines mountaineering and backcountry riding, it's called peak to powder and aims to summit a major peak around Chamonix (such as Mt Banc - the ultimate - or similar) then ride down. I'd love to do that one day, but can't afford it. probably don't have the fittness or mountaineering skills either.. that's more a dream than a goal. Cool though, huh? http://www.mcnabsnowboarding.com/details/page/54

Age : 36
Weight : 90kg
Height : 5'11"
Equipment : Amplid UNW8, Creamer, Dopamine & Morning Glory Split.
Experience : Riding since 1998, somewhere around 1500 days on snow.
Competence : Hugely experienced in the backcountry, making rapid but belated progress in the park. BASI 2 instructor, not far away from BASI 4.
Resorts Visited : Been to a LOT of places, probably over 100 resorts, but now resident near Sainte Foy.
Favourite Run/Moment : Lots to choose from, but gotta go for Le Grand Mont in Areches. Stomping the first big back 3 was pretty cool too.
This season : Shredding Sainte Foy, La Rosiere and occasional trips elsewhere.
Goals : Pass that damn BASI exam.

Hi,

New here so..

Flinnster, 40ish, Surrey/Hants area, Ride snowboard junkie (5 at last count).
Riding since '99, I don't look at piste colours or tick off lifts at resorts any more....
Now into off-piste mainly (steep & deep), plus some park stuff. Prefer to ride with those with full avi gear and avalanche safety experience.
Ridden everywhere from USA, Canada, French & Italian Alps, outdoor UK snow and indoor domes.
