There is more info over on the TGR forum where the spy shots originated from...
Possibly the first tech binding with full veritcal and lateral release. Fully certified DIN 16 release and $1000. Looks like a Duke competitor for those that can afford it (plus new boots for new insert system!?) - though for dedicated touring binding then most people will probably stick with TLT / Verticals / FTs etc.

Well, it certainly ain't no Trab TR2, more's the pity.
I don't see it going down well with people who just bought shiny new Vulcans, who would appear to be the primary audience for the "Beast"; modifying the heel can't be straightforward... I do note the boot in the magazine shots is marked Vulcan though, so maybe you can just throw em in a mill and nail a metal strip across the heel lug and call it a day?

Looks ace but I think I'll stick with regular Dynafits for a couple more years until the test monkeys (sorry, early adopters) have ironed out the kinks.

AT $1000 a shot I think your early adopters (sorry, test monkeys) are going to be thin on the piste. Anyone running a book on how many of Dynastars tame backcountry specialists are going to be shoehorned into these? And note the 'Limited Edition' graphic? I think that defines who they are selling these to. Want to bet you will be seeing multiple Russian millionaires on the piste with these soon? How long do you get for mugging a Russian slope side in France nowadays?
Anyone know why I am asking so many questions today?
