Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I'll also be in black and the last to wear a hat, typically a head band, and candy stripe boots. Waxing skis tonight.
Wishing I was skiing the 11-12" at Turner today have to hike slackcountry at Silver instead.

On a bright note as long as it snows Tue, Wed, Thur Silver plans on opening the bottom of chair 4 next weekend, TNFG still closed but rope duckers were raving about great skiing yesterday.

13/1 Rain at the resorts. Hit Lookout and it was rather good, given it rained at base, 1"+ at the the top looking forward to Silver tomorrow, should be another 1-2".

Thinking Schweitzer this weekend if snow looking good, and def Silver on 29-31, as coming up with our local Desert Ski Club. Skied Mission Ridge on Sunday, it got 3 inches of new overnight and about 2pm it started dumping. Base is good, so it would've been a fine day there today ...

Massive storm hitting Cascades this weekend. We nearly headed up Silver way, but opted for Bachelor - some 20+ inches forecast for Friday and more Saturday. And it's cold.

Gotta love El Nino springs in the Cascades Wink

Due to an incredible day of skiing and all the riders who showed up for skiing on the 10th Silver will be open the 17th and again the 24th for the annual Leadman triathalon. The fresh powder skiing in the morning was fantastic but with no clouds it got warm in the afternoon. Still should be quite good next Sat.

Fernie is having a two day party called Fernival with live bands next weekend.

Was at Schweitzer this weekend. Excellent pow day on Saturday, official report said 3 inches but in wind loaded areas it was more like 6-10. Sunday was cold, clear and really fantastic conditions. Wind-blown pow everywhere. Conditions are rather fune up there right now.
