I think A basin is a terrible suggestion for an average tourist. Yes it's a nice place and has plenty to occupy the advanced skier/hiker but it is very small in terms of pistes and has some very slow old chairs. Great if you're up to lapping Pali bumps all day, not so good if you want to cruise blues. Plus it gets really busy with Denverites as the VR places shut up shop.

For average tourist, yes. For a good skier, no. True... A-Basin offers nothing for the average tourist and that's why Keystone may be a good option further down the valley. They may be open in mid-April. Saw that these were last year's closing dates in/near Summit County. Is that accurate?

Simple, the US constitution guarantees gun ownership being a RIGHT. Drinking, on the other hand, is a privilege.
There was a time in the not so long past drinking were entirely PROHIBITED! Even today, you still can't even buy alcoholic beverages on Sunday before noon in many towns and villages, whatever the age.
